Jack White calls her talent "unhuman". I'll have to say I agree with that statement. To say that Loretta Lynn is the most honored, revered and influential woman in the music industry is a huge understatement. Not only has she changed the industry of country music from a "Good Ole Boy's Club" to an industry that celebrates the talent of female artists as much, if not more, than their male counterparts...she has changed the lives of many women and men through her honest and, most of the time, uncensored songwriting. To say that she is a legend just isn't enough. Loretta is a gift! She has shared her entire life with the world...all of it's heartaches and it's triumphs. How can one woman be so many things to so many people? Cause she's Loretta Lynn...That's how!

I love Loretta Lynn and what she stands for. She is truly a humble and beautiful person. My father was from Beefhide, KY and always said he was related to Loretta. My grandparents spelled the last name "Castle." Lord willing, I am on vacation starting tomorrow. My plans are to visit Loretta's homeplace if possible. Loretta's family is Church of Christ as I am a member of Church of Christ as well. God bless you, Loretta. My dream is to meet you some day.
