About Me
Well this is going to be more about my hubby and daughter more than myself...see we are a very unique family. I am 32 and my husband is 71 ( no thats not a typo). and the precious little girl in my profile pic is our ( again not a typo) daughter. She is 6 months old and her daddies only child. But even more than that Kenneth worked in the coal mines from the age of 21 til he was in his late 40's. So you see Zida ( my baby girl) is a coal miners daughter. Now i know there are babies born every day to coal mining families and I pray God blesses them with their daddies for a very long time. But I doubt you will find a newborn that can grow up hearing stories about her daddy using the same equipment that Loretta Lynn's daddy used! Kenneth has hung alot of his old tools etc in her bedroom ( everything from the carbid lamp off of his cap to his hand drills ). Kenneth is 6'2" and still has a scar on one knee and on his back from crawling to the mine site ( just like her daddy says in the movie). |

About Me
I am from Manitoba, Canada and have been a fan of Loretta Lynn for many years. I love her music. I like to sing along to her songs at home and in my car. My daughter also loves her music as she always heard Loretta Lynns beautiful voice each time I played my cd's. She grew to love the music and learned the lyrics and she would sing along with me and the cd. My daughter has her own two little girls who grew to love Loretta Lynns music as well. Her oldest daughter which is five years old can sing (her favorite song) "Coal Miners Daughter" very well. We have always wanted to attend a concert and we finally had a chance to see Loretta perform live on Dec.3/10 in Mahnomen, Minnesota! This was a dream come true for my daughter, my mom and for myself. We really enjoyed the concert and we are hoping to see this wonderful, talented woman perform on stage again!! Hopefully my granddaughter will soon have the opportunity to see Loretta live also. She asked her mom, " Mommy was Loretta Lynn wearing one of her beautiful dresses?" We are praying Loretta will have a concert in Manitoba so we can all attend. We love Loretta Lynn and enjoy her music.

About Me
I am almost 50 years young, and I grew up with Loretta Lynn. My dad was an alcoholic just like her husband and he did all the things to my mom that Duke did to Loretta. I know all of her songs by heart. Dad would get drunk, bring his friends over to get drunk, while my mom worked 3 jobs to make the bills. I would get paid quarters to sing Loretta's songs. My favorite song is "Don't Come Home A Drinkin' ." My dad died 26 years ago, and every time I get to missing him on Birthdays, and Holidays, I just get out my CD's and listen to Loretta, and I cry and sing. I loved my dad, and I love Loretta Lynn.
What Does Loretta Mean To You ?
She means a lot to me. My dad use to call me his "Loretta Lynn." I love to sing her songs and I love to sing her sister, Crystal Gayle's songs. Loretta got me through the drunkin days with my dad, and Crystal got me through an unwed pregnancy, with a father who didn't want his baby. I am thankful for Loretta and Crystal.

About Me
My name is Sharon...I'm from Eastern Kentucky, born in Northern Kentucky, but now live in about 20 miles or so, up the road from Loretta. I'm loving it over this way...I lived in the Knoxville, TN area for several years, but over here in middle Tennessee is just some different, so awesome! I am a 48 year old mother of three beautiful grown daughters that I love with all my heart and soul, Heather, Amanda and Samantha (Sam). I also have a new grandbaby boy Wesley...he's a newbie...3 months old. I would do anything in this world for them. I am very proud of who they have become.
I'm productive, strong willed, caring, loving, friendly, happy with myself and what I have made of myself. I know who I am and what I want in this world and I go after it. I'm happy in my life and I'm right where I want to be.
What Does Loretta Mean To You ?
I grew up in eastern Kentucky in the 70's, not far from where Loretta grew up...and my house was always full of country music..my dad was old fashion and he wouldn't allow us to play anything but country when he was at home...lol. So, I would play and sing with all my Loretta Lynn and Patsy Cline records and 8 track tapes...hahaha. I remember being all excited about the cassettes...I still have about 6 Loretta cassettes.
I always wanted to be a country singer like Loretta did...I actually could sing really good to, just never did get the chance to see my dream come true or to be a big star. I'll just be happy to be a huge fan of stuff an amazing lady...went to see her last concert of 2010, at her place. It was so awesome, I cried for the first three songs...hahaha...I just could not believe that i was finally there within yards of one of the greatest women that I have ever known...Ican't wait to go to another this year.
I LOVE YOU LORETTA!!!

About Me
I am a native Kentucky girl. I was born and raised in Louisville. I am a mother of one beautiful daughter. My ex husband left us when my daughter was a baby and we've been together as a mother daughter team since. I have a wonderful boyfriend now with whom I grew up with. My top priority is my family. Secondly, I am a scientist for the American Red Cross. I work a lot of hours to provide for my family. My family is from a small town in Kentucky and, I relate to Loretta Lynn's songs, upbringing and Kentucky life.
What Does Loretta Mean To You ?
Loretta means many things for me at different times. Some days, I just love to sing to her music and it brings me joy. Other days, I relate to her as a musician and song writer. On other occassions, she is the story board of my life. Her music has helped me get through some very tough times, celebrate the beauty of life, embrace woman hood and to be proud of my Kentucky heritage. I am proud that she is from my state and that she represents us with grace, talent, beauty and intelligence.

About Me
I'm 57 years old born and raised in Caruthersville, MO. I moved back to Caruthersville, MO in 1976 when my mother was hit head on by a drunk driver and I quit my job in Cleveland, MS to come back home and take care of her. I stayed in the hospital in Memphis, Tn for three months with my mother then when we came back from the hospital I ended up staying in Caruthersville where I am now the Director of the Caruthersville Housing Authority. I had never married until I was 51 years old and married Mike Hightower of Greenbrier, AR on April 23, 2005. In April 2006 Caruthersvile including my house was hit by a devastating tornado. Mike and I remodeled our house after the tornado and then sold it and moved to a small five acre farm in Caruthersville, MO where we have two horses (Fancy and Dollar), one cat (Stormy Weather), one Llhama (Blossom) two humane society dogs (Snickers and Lola). We both love to ride horses and be outside with our critters. Mike has his own truck and drives hauling bi product used to make bio diesel. My Dad passed away October 19, 2008. I was a Daddy's Girl and always called him my "John Wayne". Life had been hard the past five and a half years but we are making it by just sticking together and toughing it out.
What Does Loretta Mean To You ?
I grew up listenting to and loving Loretta's music. I can still hear my Daddy saying how much he loved Loretta's music and all country music, Porter Waggoner, Dolly Parton, Conway Twitty just to name a few. Country music has always been a part of our lives and we love it all but Ms. Lynn has always held a very special place in my heart. Her life and the way she loves her fans, you can tell is the real thing. There is no "putting on" with Loretta she is what she is and that is why I love her and her music. She is just Blessed and special to so many people and will forever be admired and loved by many. May God continue to bless her.

About Me
I know the best Classic county music legands when I hear them in my heart and soul. :] :]
What Does Loretta Mean To You ?
Oh my goodness! Well I first listened to Loretta, then Patsy Cline when I was very young. Then I started listening to Loretta's sister Crystal, in the early 70's. Women like Loretta,Crystal, PeggySue, and Patsy Cline are indangered classic down to earth good peoples.I rarely see good people around. Most good people I ever loved have since kicked the bucket! I was secretly hoping at The Crystal Gayle concert to catch a glimpse of Loretta Saturday September 2nd, 2006 at The Alaska State Fair, but Loretta never made a surprize showing! I was a little disapointed to be honest! This is when I discoverd Crystal brought someone else as a surprize guest! I thought it was Barbara Mandrell at first, then I got a little more disapointed! !! It turned out to be Loretta's & Crystal Gayles other side kick sister Peggy Sue!! I started to calm down after Crystal and Peggy Sue began singing Lorettas song , A Coal Miners Daughter! I smiled with pride, A I thought of Loretta! I had goose bumps! I realized I hadn't been jipped after all! besides Peggy Sue turned to be a good singer as well, and a hoot! to boot !! :] :] Which reminds me I didn't know Peggy Sue helped write that one song You Ain't women enough?! As too when I was watching Coal Miners Daughters the other night, I began to wonder if that same woman of that cheating song , was the same woman that took a hunk out of Lorettas hair?! If it wasn't then Loretta has some crazy fans. and Oh if I was the road manager named Darrell I'd keep Loretta's fans, and Crystal Gayles's fans seperated , Crystals NEEDS to keep her hair! I hope Loretta don't have those bad headaches anymore?! I hope they were just hormonal, and not headaches from the coal mine like her daddy. I have empathy because I suffer from bad headaches too. Oh dear I don't think I answered the question!? What Does Loretta mean to me?! Well I can almost cry because It truley is an honor to be excepted as a member this crazy Loretta fan page,
